Helicopter Training: Private
The private pilot certificate is intended for those who wish to fly as a hobby, personal business or who want to take the first step towards a career as a helicopter pilot. You are not allowed to be compensated while acting as Pilot in Command.
FAA Requirements
- Obtain an FAA Student Medical Certificate
- Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test
- Pass the FAA Practical Test
- Log 40* hours of flight time including 10 hours solo
