Helicopter Training: Private

The private pilot certificate is intended for those who wish to fly as a hobby, personal business or who want to take the first step towards a career as a helicopter pilot. You are not allowed to be compensated while acting as Pilot in Command.

FAA Requirements

  • Obtain an FAA Student Medical Certificate
  • Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test
  • Pass the FAA Practical Test
  • Log 40* hours of flight time including 10 hours solo

*40 Hours is FAA Minimum.
