Helicopter Training: Flight Instructor

The Flight Instructor certificate allows you to teach others to fly helicopters. A large number of helicopter pilots started their career as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) to build hours.

FAA Requirements

  • Obtain Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • FAA 2nd class medical
  • Pass the FAA Fundamentals of Instruction Knowledge Test
  • Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test
  • Pass the FAA Practical Test
  • Obtain Sufficient Dual Instruction to Gain Proficiency (No Minimum)
